Friends University Tennis faced tough opponents this week, with the Men's Tennis Falcons finishing on top 4-3 and the Women's squad coming up short by an identical score of 4-3. 

On the women's side, the Falcons picked up three impressive wins. Silva Avakian led the way with a dominant performance at #1 singles, cruising to a 6-1, 6-2 victory. Aneth Diaz showed strong resilience at #2 singles, bouncing back from a first-set loss to win 4-6, 6-1, 6-1. Klee added to the tally with a solid straight-set win at No. 3 singles, 6-3, 6-3. In doubles, Diaz and Molly Bender earned a 6-4 win at the No. 2 spot.

The men's team opened strong with a sharp win in No. 1 doubles, where Gabriel Gomes and Cristobal Fuentes teamed up for a 6-3 victory. Both players carried their momentum into singles play. Fuentes was in control from start to finish at No. 1 singles, winning 6-1, 6-2. Gomez followed with a hard-fought win at No. 2 singles, outlasting his opponent 6-2, 3-6, 6-3. 

The Falcons will be back in action Tuesday (Apr. 8) at home, facing the Ottawa Braves at 3pm.
