North Newton, Kan. – The Friends University Women's Tennis Falcons lost 5-2 and the Falcon Men fell 6-1 at the No. 28-ranked (ITA, men & women) Bethel College Threshers in the season finale Saturday (Apr. 19) in North Newton, Kan.

The Falcons lost all three doubles matches on the women's side, but gained singles wins from Aneth Diaz 7-6, 6-2 in the No. 2 spot and Carlotta Klee 7-6, 7-6 in the third position.

In a terrific battle in the top singles spot, Silva Avakian was nipped 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 by No. 24-ranked Daniela Herrera in a matchup of two of the top singles competitors in the KCAC.

Cristobal Fuentes gave the Men's Falcons their lone point with a 7-6, 2-6, 6-0 win in the top singles position while Auron Hoyer and Enric Galon won 7-6 in the No. 2 doubles match.

The Women's Tennis Falcons finish the season 5-12 and 4-8 in the KCAC, with the Men's Falcons winding up 4-14 and 3-9 in conference play.
