Arlington, Texas – The Friends University Women's Tennis Falcons were tripped up 5-2 and the Men's Falcons lost 6-1 Friday afternoon (Feb. 28) at the Texas Wesleyan University Rams at the Arlington Tennis Center in Arlington, Texas.

A bright spot for the Falcons was Silva Avakian winning 4-6, 6-4, 7-6 to remain undefeated in singles action this season while also teaming up with Carlotta Klee to win 7-6 to also stay perfect in doubles.

Also staying unblemished in singles play for the Falcons was Aneth Diaz, who won 4-6, 6-4, 7-6.

For the Falcon Men, Gabriel Gomes won 7-5, 6-3 to pull out the lone point in the match.

Both Falcon teams will next return home and host Concordia University (Neb.) Friday (Mar. 7) at 2 pm at the Riverside Tennis Center.
