WICHITA, Kan. – For the second time in the past three weeks, the Friends University Falcons have swept the KCAC Golfer of the Week honors, with sophomore Jenson Boyce winning the men's award and senior Victoria Hofmann selected as the top golfer on the women's side. All KCAC Player of the Week awards are sponsored by Athletic Solutions.

Boyce powered the No. 2-ranked Falcons to their home Crestview Fall Invite championship with the individual title this past week. Boyce shot -5 during the three rounds, including a robust -4 in the first round that featured two eagles and then an eagle on 18 to finish -2 for the final round. The Falcons also had the second-place finisher in Dawson Branstetter, who finished four strokes behind Boyce as the only two competitors to finish under par for the event.

Hofmann also led the Falcon Women to a team championship in their home Crestview Fall Invite this past week with a team-best third place individual finish. Hofmann shot nine over on the first day and then bettered that by two strokes to finish seven over par in the final round.

"We are very excited to see Victoria selected as the KCAC Women's Golfer of the Week!" said Friends women's golf head coach Scott Moshier. "Victoria has had a great start to her senior year, and her leadership has been outstanding. One of the best things about Victoria is her desire to continually improve. She works hard on her game every week and is always looking for ways to get better.

This is not the first time Victoria has been selected as the KCAC Golfer of the Week throughout her career, and with her determination and drive, I don't think it will be her last. I know Vic is honored to receive this recognition, but I also know that she is putting the team first and wants us to be the best we can be throughout the season. Congratulations, Vic! We are proud of you!"

The Falcon Men are currently competing today at the Northwest Iowa National Invitational in Le Mars, Iowa, while the Women's Falcons are next scheduled to play at the University of the Southwest Tournament on Sept. 28-29 in Hobbs, N.M.
