North Newton, Kan. – Hannah Tri finished fifth to lead the Friends University Falcons to a runner-up showing at the Bethany College Classic yesterday (Apr. 7) at the Sand Creek Station in North Newton, Kan.
The Falcons shot +107 as a team, just five strokes behind first-place Newman University and one stroke clear of Kansas Wesleyan University in third.
Tri shot +10 in round two to wind up at +21 and move up two spots for a fifth-place finish for the Falcons.
Lindsay McBride (+24) was next for Friends in eighth place followed by Victoria Hofmann (+25) in a tie for ninth.
Rylin Wells (+37) was tied for 22nd and Taylor Price (+47) came in 27th for the Falcons.
The Falcons will next compete in the Dodge City CC Tournament on Apr. 13-14 in Dodge City, Kan. in their final competition before the KCAC Championship on Apr. 27-29.
