KANSAS – In her first season on campus, Friends University junior Jessica Applegarth has won her second career KCAC Women's Golfer of the Week award, the conference office announced today (Oct. 19). All KCAC Player of the Week awards are sponsored by Athletic Solutions.

Applegarth posted a runner-up finish individually to power the Falcons to the Evangel Fall Invitational title this past week.

A native of Mount Pleasant, Utah, Applegarth shot a career-best +10 overall, just two strokes shy of the top spot to equal her career-high finish.

"Jessica's success this season has been a lot of fun to watch, and we are honored to have received twice now the distinction of being named the Women's KCAC player of the week," said Friends women's golf head coach Scott Moshier. Her dedication to her game and to our Team has also been something special. We look forward to both our Team's and Jessica's continued success as we move forward into our break and then into our Spring season."

Applegarth and the Falcons are currently competing at the KCAC Match Play event today and tomorrow in Dodge City, Kan.
