Newton, Kan. – Junior Victoria Hofmann posted a solid runner-up finish at the KCAC Women's Golf Championship to help the Friends University Falcons wind up third as a team today (Apr. 29) at the Sand Creek Station in Newton, Kan.
Kansas Wesleyan University (+125) won the tournament title, followed by Evangel (+135) and Friends (+153).
After finishing 11 over par in the first round, Hoffman recorded rounds of +6 and +5 to charge up the leaderboard and finish second.
Lindsay McBride (+35) was the next highest finishing Falcon in seventh place, followed by Hannah Tri (+43) in 12th. Rylin Wells (+56) came in 16th and Taylor Price (+62) wound up 18th.
With Hofmann's top two result and the Falcons finishing third as a team, this concludes a successful first season at the helm for head coach Scott Moshier.
