WICHITA, Kan. – Putting an exclamation point on an already historic career, Friends University senior Trinton Nobles has claimed his third consecutive KCAC Men's Golf Player of the Year honor, the conference office announced today (Apr. 20). Nobles is joined on the All-KCAC first-team by Gabriele Romani and Laken Matthews, while Bernhard Koster is a second-team honoree. Additionally, Grant Waggoner is the Falcons' Champion of Character recipient.

Also a two-time NAIA All-American, Nobles made his mark again this year with an individual title at the Falcon Cup Classic while posting a pair of runner-up finishes at the Evangel Fall Invitational and the Texas Invite. The McKinney, Texas native recorded an average score of 71.3 this season.

In his first year with the program, Romani captured the individual championship at the Falcons' home Crestview Spring Invitational and finished as the runner-up behind Nobles at the Falcon Cup Classic. A native of Lugano, Switzerland, Romani averaged 71.9 this season.

A freshman that burst onto the scene this season, Matthews came in third at the Crestview Spring Invitational and recorded a top-five finish at the Mid-South in his first career tournament. The local Wichita product has averaged a score of 72.6 on the season.

Also in his first year with the No. 10-ranked Falcons, Koster, a native of Pretoria, South Africa, finished on top of the Evangel Fall Invitational and averaged a score of 71.7 for Friends.

The Falcons, under head coach Dustin Galyon, are currently aiming for their fourth straight KCAC Championship in Garden City, Kan. The conference championship tournament started today and runs through Wednesday (Apr. 22).
