WICHITA, Kan. – Friends University VP of Athletics & Strategic Expansion Dr. Rob Ramseyer has announced that Taylor Stuchlik has resigned her position as competitive dance head coach.
"Taylor came here and made this program better," said Dr. Ramseyer. "We'll miss her but certainly wish her well in what comes next."
In her third year at the helm, Stuchlik guided the Falcons to their best season in program history. She was named the KCAC Competitive Dance Coach of the Year after leading the Falcons to a third-place conference finish, the program's best since its inception in the 2022-23 campaign.
"Taylor has been nothing short of amazing here at Friends," said Friends competitive cheer head coach Joshua Johnson. "She has helped shape the dance program into what it is and where it needs to go. I will always be grateful for our friendship and her time here. I wish her nothing but good things and prayers as she enters into the next chapter of her life. Go Falcons!"
To put a bow on a great season, Stuchlik's Dance Falcons received the prestigious KCAC Team of Character award this past year.
"My time here at Friends has been truly rewarding and I want to thank everyone who has been a part of my journey here," said Stuchlik. "My team holds a special place in my heart, and I can't wait to watch them continue to grow and succeed. This program and the athletics department have built an amazing foundation of support and encouragement and I'm proud to have been a part of that and can't wait to watch the future of Friends Athletics."
