WICHITA, Kan. – Friends University sophomore competitive dance student-athlete Desiree Luevano-Pedroza (SO/Wichita, Kan.) has earned KCAC Scholar-Athlete honors, the league office announced today (Feb. 15).

The award is sponsored by Barnes & Noble College, the official campus bookstore and course material provider of the KCAC.

To qualify for this award, the student-athlete must have reached sophomore academic standing, maintain a minimum 3.25 cumulative grade point average, have attended one full year at the KCAC institution, and be listed on the eligibility certificate for the sport.
