WICHITA, Kan. – The Friends University Competitive Cheer Falcons bested Kansas Wesleyan University in tonight's (Jan. 16) season-opening Falcon Invite, while the Dance Falcons recorded a top-finish inside the Garvey Center.
The Cheer Falcons looked strong and posted a score of 81.15 to finish ahead of KWU's 65.73 tally.
Earlier in the evening, the Falcon Competitive Dance team put together a solid performance and was rewarded with a 79.04 score.
Oklahoma City University outdistanced the competition with a score of 92.46 to win the dance event, followed by Baker University at 89.63.
The Falcon cheer squad will next be in action in two weeks (Jan. 30) at the Coyote Classic, with the Dance Falcons next competing at the Thresher Invitational on Feb. 7.
