Ramseyer receives recognition in Wichita Business Journal’s “Leaders in Major Companies”

WICHITA, Kan. – Friends University VP of Athletics & Strategic Expansion Dr. Rob Ramseyer has been honored in the Wichita Business Journal's inaugural "Leaders in Major Companies" section. The new recognition spotlights leaders making a strong impact in the community.

"Thanks to the Wichita Business Journal on this recognition," said Ramseyer.  "I am grateful to be recognized.  We have a great team at Friends University and exciting things are happening.  I am thankful to be a part of it."

Ramseyer's leadership and vision throughout the Athletic Department was on full display this past season, with the Football Falcons securing the KCAC Kessinger Division for their first conference title since 2008 and the softball program winning their first KCAC title since 2016. The Men's Golf Falcons also entered the dynasty conversation with their third consecutive conference championship, while the men's basketball team had their best season in six years and the women's soccer program won their first KCAC tournament title of the modern era.

Just as effective was Ramseyer's strategy in the classroom, with student evaluation scores reaching all-time highs and the Falcon teams averaging a 3.17 GPA this past spring for their highest semester average in five years.

Along with men's golf head coach Dustin Galyon, Ramseyer also continues to grow the Impact Coaching Project, an initiative that was launched in the winter of 2023 and focuses on training coaches to develop the whole person.
