Park City, Kan. – Friends University senior Gianna Moreno wrapped up her historic career by competing on the biggest stage at the NAIA Women's Wrestling National Championship at Park City Arena in Park City, Kan.
Moreno, the program's first ever NAIA All-American last year, started the day with a pinfall loss to No. 7 seeded Kori Campbell (Lindsey Wilson).
Then in the consolation round, Moreno lost a tight decision to Lilly Gough of Central Methodist to finish up the competition.
Bailee Nelson was also a NAIA qualifier for the second time of her career but unfortunately was unable to compete.
A native of San Marcos, Texas, Moreno was also the first KCAC champion in school history last season.
