Ottawa, Kan. - Friends University Women's Wrestling Falcons traveled to Ottawa over the weekend to compete in the Ottawa Open.
There were three standout performances from the Falcons who include; Alexis Means, Naomie Sylvestre, and Kaylynn Martin
110 lbs - Kaylynn Martin placed 3rd going 3-1 on the day, all three of her wins were via tech fall. This is Martin's second straight top 3 placement this season.
124 lbs - Naomie Sylvestre took 3rd place while going 4-1. Sylvestre had a decision win, two tech falls, and a fall on the day.
145 lbs - Alexis Means dominated the 145 lb bracket in Ottawa, taking 1st place in convincing fashion. Means went 5-0 and all five of her wins were tech falls. Means wrestled a total of 9 minutes and 23 seconds throughout her five matches.
Women's Wrestling's first dual of the season is their home opener against Avila. That will be at 7:00 PM on Tuesday Nov. 11.
