WICHITA, Kan. - Friends University Men's and Women's wrestling Falcons set to open up their season at the Falcon Open this coming Friday (Oct. 31) and continuing Saturday (Nov. 1). The annual Falcon Open will be held here in Wichita at Hartman Arena.
One of the largest tournaments in the nation, there are 34 men's teams and 22 women's programs scheduled to compete at this year's even in Park City, Kan.
Both Men's and Women's teams have returning wrestlers that had great individual seasons last season. Bailee Nelson has returned for her senior season with being a national qualifier in 2023 and 2024. For the Men's Benedict Holthaus, the reigning KCAC Men's Wrestling Co-Newcomer of the Year is back after a remarkable freshman season with a record of 30-9.
