WICHITA, Kan. –Friends University fans will want to participate and vote for the 2023 Honorary ESPYS, presented by ESPN Wichita 92.3.

Men's golf student-athlete Gerardo Alemany is a finalist for the Small College Male Athlete of the Year, while softball standout Carolyn Dallimore is a finalist in the Small College Female Athlete of the Year category.

Both a third-team NAIA All-America selection and a first-team All-KCAC honoree, Alemany surged to the conference individual championship with a sudden-death victory on the second playoff hole.

Also the KCAC Newcomer of the Year, Alemany trailed by three strokes much of the day before charging back behind two eagle putts, including an incredible made shot from 30+ feet on the 16th hole in Garden City, Kan.

Establishing herself as one of the premier sluggers in the country, Dallimore earned second-team NAIA & NFCA All-America honors after launching a career-high 15 homers that were just two shy of the school's modern-era career record. The home run total also ranked second in the KCAC and tied for fourth in the NAIA.

A first-team All-KCAC performer, Dallimore led the conference in batting average (.457), on-base-percentage (.594) and slugging percentage (.915) while finishing second in RBIs (58). Her on-base and slugging numbers both ranked second nationally.
