Reminder to submit nominations for Friends Athletics Hall of Fame and Young Student-Athlete Alumni award

WICHITA, Kan. – A reminder to all fans to submit nominations for the 2026 Friends University Athletic Hall of Fame and for the Young Student-Athlete Alumni award.

Nominees will be accepted until the committee meets in early July.

To be eligible for the Hall of Fame, an athlete nominated must be a graduate of Friends University, played two years of varsity competition and must wait 10 years after graduation to be nominated. A coach nominee must have served Friends University for five years, while an administrator, staff, faculty or volunteer must have served Friends University for 10 years.

Last year's Hall of Fame class consisted of Romar Jones, Heather Matthews, Jordan Highley and the 2010 Volleyball team.

For the Young Student-Athlete Alumni award, the nominee must be under 35 years of age, competed in athletics for two or more years and have made a significant impact and demonstrated significant success in their profession and/or communities since graduation.
