WICHITA, Kan. – Eight Friends University student-athletes have earned Academic All-District At-Large recognition, presented by the College Sports Communicators (CSC).
To be nominated, the student-athlete must maintain a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA and be at least a sophomore in both academic and athletic standing. Additionally, men's and women's golf nominees must be in the lineup for at least 75 percent of the team's scoring events or in the lineup at the conference championship tournament. For competitive cheer and dance nominees, the student-athlete must participate in at least 75 percent of the team's competitions. For men's and women's wrestling nominees, the student-athlete must appear in the lineup for a minimum of 75 percent of team scoring events or compete in their weight class at the conference championship meet.
Those with the highest athletic credentials will move on to the Academic All-America ballot, with first-, second- and third-team honorees set to be announced for the women on July 7 and the men on July 8.
