Friends track & field head coach Henry Brun on the Falcons' performances at the annual Friends Spring Invite:
"Our home meet didn't disappoint! We had some amazing weather and, with 31 teams competing this year, we had some fantastic competition. It really brought out the best in our squad as a mid-season benchmark. The results are flooded with season bests, personal bests, quality KCAC marks, school records, and NAIA national qualifying marks. We checked a lot of boxes this weekend!
I am really proud of my staff for stepping up in all the planning that went into putting on another quality meet this year. I am extremely grateful for the Athletic Department and the other sports teams that helped us in nearly every event. It was truly a university effort, and you could see the sense of pride in every student-athlete in our program as they competed along with their peers from other teams that helped.
Big thanks to Wavelight for bringing their technology to our Distance Carnival and introducing a new element to our meet that we plan to continue in the future. The lights will be back!"
