Marshall, Mo. – Following four consecutive dual-meet victories, the Friends University men's wrestling team traveled to the Missouri Valley Invitational for a two-day tournament featuring 43 programs. The Falcons delivered an impressive performance, finishing 14th overall with 70.5 points and placing three wrestlers on the podium.
Here are the top performers for the Falcons over the weekend:
125 lbs - No. 13 Braydon Pacheco battled his way for a 6th place finish, contributing to six team points for Friends. Pacheco wrestled in seven matches in his bracket and went 4-3, battling through the consolation side after losing in the quarterfinals. Pacheco grabbed two tech fall wins throughout the two days.
184 lbs - No. 23 Jason Bowers took 5th place in his bracket and went 4-2 in his weight class. Bowers had a close semifinals match in which he ultimately lost. Bowers then showed resilience fighting back in the blood rounds and won 2-1 in his 5th place match.
197 lbs - No. 18 Logan Davidson was the Falcons highest placer taking 3rd place. Davidson went 6-1 in the 197 lb bracket and with three of his wins coming from pinfall and tech fall. Davidson was awarded a medical forfeit win in his 3rd place match and brought in 10 points for the Falcons.

Next up for Falcons Men's Wrestling is a home dual back in the Garvey Center. It will be another KCAC matchup where Friends will take on Avila. Wrestling will be on February 4th, at 5:00 PM back in Wichita.
