WICHITA, Kan. — At the Friends University First-Chance Qualifier on Saturday, the Friends University Falcons got things rolling again after the Christmas Break with two more national standards Saturday (Jan. 10) at the Heskett Center on the campus of Wichita State University.
Tiyna Ridge nailed the NAIA A Standard in the Women's 60 Meter and
Julian Winters hit the NAIA B Standard in the Men's Weight Throw. The Falcons also secured three event victories with
Gabriela Millan winning the women's 60 hurdles finals,
Abby Green taking the top spot in the women's weight throw and
Spencer Hines coming out on top in the men's 800 meter run.
Falcon Women Highlights

Ridge ran a time of 7.48 seconds in the women's 60 meters preliminaries, securing the top position with a time that ranks first this season in both the KCAC and NAIA.
Abby Green won the women's weight throw with a mark of 16.57m that is currently first in the KCAC and second on the Falcons' all-time list.
Hannah Cribley claimed fourth place in the women's 1000 meters with a time of 3:16.61.
Millan earned first place in the women's 60 hurdles finals, clocking in at 9.06 seconds. In the preliminaries, Millan also led the field with a time of 9.12 seconds, demonstrating consistent excellence in the event.
Aiyanna Green achieved third place in the women's shot put with a throw of 12.59 meters. Green also excelled in the weight throw, recording a second place finish with a distance of 16.38 meters.

Falcon Men Highlights

Hines finished first in the men's 800 meters with a time of 1:59.51, narrowly edging out his closest competitor by just 0.01 seconds. Hines's performance secured a top spot for Friends University in this event.
Matthew Bryant delivered a strong showing in the men's triple jump, placing second with a mark of 14.22 meters (46' 8"). His consistent performance across multiple attempts helped secure a runner-up position.
Shawn Burdick achieved a second-place spot in the men's shot put (15.18m).
Payton Willits excelled in the men's high jump, achieving a height of 1.96 meters (6' 5"). Willits tied for second place, clearing the bar alongside another competitor.
Winters recorded a distance of 17.56 meters (57' 7.5") in the Weight Throw and also secured a fifth-place finish in the men's shot put, throwing 14.33 meters (47' 0.25") to showcase his versatility in field events.
Logan Barnhill ran the top time this season in the KCAC (50.98) in the 400 meter event.
