Indoor Track & Field Falcons kick off 2025-26 campaign at Shocker Multi

WICHITA, Kan. – The Friends University Falcons opened up the 2025-26 indoor track & field season with competitors in the Pentathlon and Heptathlon at the Shocker Multi at the Heskett Center on the campus of Wichita State University.

The action started yesterday (Dec. 3), with Gabriela Millan (3034 points) recording a sixth-place finish in the Pentathlon. Millan's performance was highlighted by a third-place finish in the 60m Hurdles (9.05) and a top-five showing in the High Jump (1.59m).

Then today (Dec. 4), Carter Giittinger (5104 points) posted a solid runner-up finish in the Heptathlon. Giittinger won the Long Jump (6.63m) and came in second in the 1000 meter run (2:53.39).

Markel Denaro (4222 points) and Braeden Harris (3994 points) also competed in the Heptathlon and finished seventh and eighth, respectively. Denaro had a top-five finish in the Long Jump (6.49m) and Harris was eighth in the Pole Vault (3.70m).

Both Falcon indoor track & field programs will now participate in the Washburn Alumni Invitational on Saturday (Dec. 6) in Topeka, Kan.
