Hesston, Kan. – The Friends University Falcons posted a strong second-place finish at the Hesston GC Shootout yesterday (Apr. 1) in Hesston, Kan. The event was hosted by Tabor College.
Baker University finished on top at +127, followed by the Falcons (+206) and Ottawa University (+227). Friends was the highest KCAC finisher out of four conference schools at the tourney.
Victoria Hofmann fueled the Falcons in a tie for fourth individually with a score of +29.
Lindsay McBride (+42) was next in seventh place, followed by Greenlee Lindsey (+67) in a tie for 16th.
Taylor Price (+72) was tied for 19th and Rylin Wells (+74) wound up tied for 22nd.
Sydney Thompson (24th, +75) and Charleigh Haskins (29th, +87) also competed as individuals for the Falcons.
The Women's Golf Falcons will now gear up for the KCAC Championship, set for Apr. 21-23 at Twin Hills Country Club in Joplin, Mo.
