Daytona Beach, Fla. – Competing in the National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) College Nationals for the first time in program history, the Friends University Falcons rose to the occasion and placed second in the Intermediate Small Coed NAIA division. The event was held in Daytona Beach, Fla.
The Falcons finished with a score of 88.53, trailing only Roosevelt University at 92.28.
Under head coach Joshua Johnson, the Falcons also posted a runner-up finish at the KCAC Championship for the second straight season following back-to-back conference titles that resulted in a pair of NAIA National Championship appearances.
"Competing at the NCA College Nationals this past week was one to remember," said Johnson. "Myself and the coaching staff are very pleased and proud of the work this team has put into this. This was a huge building stone for the program and the future of Friends cheer! Glory to God that we are able to shine doing what He has blessed us to do on a daily basis.
