Competitive Cheer Falcons pick up third and fifth place finishes at NCA Nationals

Daytona Beach, Fla. – The Friends University Falcons Competitive Cheer squad produced a third and fifth place finish at the 2026 National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) College Nationals this weekend in Daytona Beach, Fla

In the Intermediate Small Coed NAIA Division, the Falcons finished third with a score of 80.2616.

The Falcons then climbed two spots on the final day to post a score of 79.4745 and come home with a fifth-place finish in the Intermediate All Girl NAIA division.

"Going to NCA this year was quite the experience," said Friends competitive cheer head coach Joshua Johnson. "We took two teams this year and that was something really good for our program going forward. We have a long season from August to April, and ending our year with this event is always rewarding regardless of the placement. The NCA motto is the work is worth it and they are not wrong. I'm proud of all our athletes and the future for Friends Cheer is up! Thank God and Go Falcons!"
