KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Friends University senior forward KJ Spiller has been chosen as a 2024-25 NAIA Men's Basketball All-American as a third-team selection, the national office released today (Mar. 31).

Spiller, the KCAC Co-Player of the Year, helped spearhead the Falcons' best season in quite some time.

With Spiller as the team's leading scorer at 16.3 ppg, the Falcons recorded their most wins (24) in six years, won an NAIA Postseason game for the first time since 2013-14 and finished second in the KCAC after being picked ninth and 10th in the preseason polls.

A native of Kansas City, Mo., Spiller also averaged 5.8 rebounds per game and 2.3 assists while shooting an efficient 49.6 percent from the field (199-401) and 40 percent from three-point distance (40-100).

Spiller reached the 20-point mark on 13 occasions this season, highlighted by a career-high 31 points in an 89-68 Falcon victory at Bethany College on Jan. 18.

"We are super proud of KJ being named an All-American," said Friends men's basketball head coach Phil McClintock. "He is one of the biggest gym rats I've been around and the work he put in from year one to year two definitely showed on the court. He became a facilitator and turned himself into an above average shooter from three-point range. We are excited to see where KJ's basketball career goes from here!"
