KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Friends University Falcons have taken over sole possession of the fourth ranking in the latest Netting Professionals NAIA Coaches' Top 25 poll, the national office released today (Oct. 27). The Falcons last week were tied with Montana Tech for the fourth spot.
Friends is joined in the KCAC by Southwestern College (No. 18), McPherson College (No. 21), Evangel University (No. 24) and Kansas Wesleyan University (RV).
The Falcons, 8-0 for the first time since 2008, are coming off their second straight NAIA Top 20 victory with a 42-28 victory over then No. 15-ranked Southwestern Saturday (Oct. 25) in Winfield, Kan.
Establishing themselves as the most complimentary team in the nation, the Falcons are tops on the NAIA in points per game (54.4 ppg) and sixth in points allowed per game (12.9 ppg).
Another top matchup is on the books for the Falcons when they face (RV) Kansas Wesleyan University next Saturday (Nov. 1) at Equity Bank Park, home of the Wichita Wind Surge. Tickets to that game can be purchased HERE.
