Nobles named NAIA Men’s Golfer of the Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Just a day after earning the KCAC Men's Golfer of the Week, Friends University senior Trinton Nobles has been named the top men's golfer of the entire NAIA, the national office announced today (Oct. 22).

Nobles, the two-time KCAC Player of the Year and a two-time NAIA All-America selection, receives these awards after posting an incredible score of 68 to finish 10 strokes under par and win the individual title at the Falcon Cup Classic last week in just his second event of the fall campaign.

A McKinney, Texas native, Nobles' scintillating individual performance helped the Falcons finish -12 as a team to finish second overall.

"Trinton is very deserving of this recognition," said Friends men's golf head coach Dustin Galyon. "He put together one of the best final rounds I have seen and he has the ability to go low on any given day. Trinton loves to play, practice and all things golf. This is even more special considering six weeks ago he was in a cast and we were uncertain when he could return. What an answer to prayer!!"

Nobles and the Falcons most recently won the KCAC Match Play event that concluded yesterday in Dodge City, Kan. to wrap up the fall season.
