Falcon Tennis lost in a tough battle against Bethel College (KS) on Thursday (Mar. 28). The Men's Tennis Falcons fell 1-6, and the Women's Falcons, 2-5.
Silva Avakian continues to prove herself a powerful opponent. In the third set, she defeated Bethel's Daniela Casique and gained a falcon point (6-2, 5-7, 6-2). Women's Falcon, Mirella Cavalcanti, competing as #3 singles, also gained a point against Halle Krebiel (6-0, 6-3).
Men's Tennis Falcons, Auron Hoyer also had some success competing as a #3 single. Hoyer defeated Tomas Quercia (Bethel) in the third set (6-3,1-6, 6-2).
Both teams are set to compete Saturday (Mar. 30) in home match against Mcpherson College at Wichita Riverside Tennis Center (10 am).
