WICHITA, Kan. - The Friends University Men's Tennis Falcons fell to Ottawa University 4-3 today (Apr. 11). Friends secured the doubles point with wins at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions.

Rodrigo Torres posted a 6-2 win at No. 2 doubles over Valentin Corriger and Daniel Sanchez, while
Yves Ikuno and
Gage Marsh clinched the point with a 6-4 victory at No. 3 doubles against Lillian Wessels and Juan Parra. Ottawa claimed the win at No. 1 doubles, where Enzo Ceravolo and Jarmo Perez Wienese defeated
Gabriel Gomes and
Cristobal Fuentes, 6-4.
In singles, Ottawa quickly shifted the momentum by claiming four wins. At No. 1 singles, Enzo Ceravolo defeated
Cristobal Fuentes, 6-2, 6-4. Ottawa extended its lead with Daniel Sanchez's 6-2, 7-6(5) victory over
Gabriel Gomes at No. 2 singles and Jarmo Perez Wienese's 6-4, 6-4 win against
Rodrigo Torres at No. 3 singles. Valentin Corriger sealed the dual match for Ottawa at No. 4 singles, defeating
Trey Lacy, 6-0, 6-2.
The Falcons responded with triumphs in the remaining two singles matches. Ikuno earned a straight-set victory at No. 5 singles, 6-1, 6-1, over Juan Parra.
Jacob Bush concluded the day with a 6-2, 6-2 win against Lillian Wessels at No. 6 singles. Despite these efforts, Ottawa secured the overall victory with a 4-3 final score.
