Bartlesville, Okla. – In a matchup of two KCAC teams receiving votes in the latest NAIA Coaches' Top 25, it was the (RV) Friends University Falcons getting the better of things in a 39-9 victory over the (RV) Oklahoma Wesleyan University Eagles tonight (Nov. 21) in Bartlesville, Okla.
Junior Camacho got things started with a fall win over Bradan O'Brien just over a minute into the match.
Wyatt Gardner later got a 13-3 majority decision win and Gunnar Henderson was victorious by pinfall before Ezavian Ortega, this week's KCAC Men's Wrestler of the Week, defeated Noah Smith by a 6-1 decision.
Benedict Holthaus then got a 22-5 technical fall win before a pinfall by Jason Bowers and a 4-2 decision in favor of Chase Baker finished out the win for Friends. Logan Sell also got a walkover win earlier in the night.
The Falcons are next scheduled to compete in the Saint Mary duals Saturday (Nov. 23) in Leavenworth, Kan.
