Leavenworth, Kan. – Under first-year head coach Matthew Lowe, the Friends University Men's and Women's Cross Country Falcons each finished fifth today (Nov. 9) at the KCAC Cross Country Championship meet at the University of Saint Mary in Leavenworth, Kan.
Briac Ybanez paced the Falcons with a 29th place finish and a time of 26:44.8.
Justin Holak (27:18.5) was next in 36th, with Jace Douglas (28:06.6) in 52nd and Jose Ruiz (28:08.0) in 53rd. Graham Bales (28:17.7) finished out the Falcons' top five runners in 57th place.
On the women's side, it was Gabrielle Schwabe (25:51.4) leading the way with a time of 25:51.4.
Hailey Roberson (25:54.4) was 40th, followed by Rebekah Choriego (26:42.6) in 49th. Grace Lee (26:48.2) came in 52nd and Hannah Cribley (28:04.9) wound up 62nd to round out the Falcon Women's top five runners.
