Ft. Worth, Texas. – The Friends University Men's Cross Country Falcons posted a 30th place finish and the Falcon Women finished 33rd at today's (Oct. 11) DBU Old Glory Gallop in Ft. Worth, Texas.
In a competitive field that featured schools at the NCAA D-I, NCAA D-II, NCAA D-III, NAIA and JUCO level, Butler CC won the men's event and Simon Fraser won the women's run.
Briac Ybanez (26:31.90) led the Falcons individually in 151st, followed by Xavi Rafart (27:14.26) in 211th. Alex Zortman (27:55.76) was 263rd and Mike Rodriguez (29:17.34) came in 321st, while Preston Landman (29:48.02) in 343rd wrapped up the Falcons' top five runners.
On the women's side, Lexi Patterson (20:29.07) was the Falcons' top finisher in 164th place overall. Rebekah Choriego (21:28.84) was next in 219th and Hannah Cribley (21:30.98) finished 224th. Gwendolyn Copeland (22:20.55) came in 258th and Grace Lee (22:24.92) rounded out the Falcon top five runners in 261st.
Both Falcon cross country teams will next be in action in two weeks (Oct. 25) at the NAIA Blazing Tiger Invite in Ashland, Neb.
