WICHITA, Kan. – Friends University junior midfielder Ben Scognamillo has been voted as the KCAC Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, announced today (Sept. 22) by the conference office. All KCAC Player of the Week awards are sponsored by Athletic Solutions.

Scognamillo anchored two shutouts defensively this past week for the Falcons. Friends won 8-0 at Southwestern College last Wednesday (Sept. 16) and 1-0 at Kansas Wesleyan University on Saturday (Sept. 19), with Scognamillo fueling a defensive unit that surrendered just two shots on goal each match.

A Wichita product, Scognamillo and the Falcons now have three shutouts on the season.

The Falcons, now 4-2-1 overall, will next play at Bethany College Saturday night (Sept. 26) at 7:30 pm in Lindsborg, Kan.
