OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. — Friends University Women's Soccer and Mid-America Christian University played to a 0–0 draw in tonight's (Aug. 27) road matchup in Oklahoma City.
Despite putting 10 shots on the board, including two on goal, the Falcons were unable to find the back of the net. Goalkeeper
Kaitlyn Martinez came up big for Friends, recording 10 saves to preserve the scoreless tie and earn the clean sheet.
Anahi Ibarra-Arevalo led the Falcons offensively with five shots, while
Taylor Dill added two shots, including one on goal.
Musa Mnisi also put pressure on the Evangel defense with one shot on target.
Mid-America Christian finished with 21 shots, including 10 on goal. Brae Baker led the Evangel with eight shots, five of which were on target.
With the draw, the Falcons move to 0-1-1 on the season and will continue their road stint next Wednesday (Sept. 2) when they travel to Atchison, Kan. to take on Benedictine College. Kickoff is set for 4:00 p.m.
