HASTINGS, Neb. — In a tightly contested match, the Friends University Falcons and the Hastings College Broncos battled tonight (Sept. 13) to a 0-0 draw.
The Falcons displayed a strong defensive performance, limiting Hastings to just two shots on goal.
Goalkeeper
Morgan Wilkinson recorded two saves to secure the shutout.
Anahi Ibarra-Arevalo was active in the offensive attack, taking three shots, all on goal.
Pilar Flores added one shot on target, and
Samantha Jones chipped in with two shots of her own. Friends generated offensive pressure with five second-half corners, but weren't able to capitalize, as the game went on to end in a draw.
The Falcons return to action next Wednesday (Sept. 17) to open conference play against Southwestern College. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
