Falcons Secure First Conference Victory With 2-1 Win Over Coyotes

WICHITA, Kan. — The Friends University Falcons defeated the Kansas Wesleyan University Coyotes 2-1 on Saturday (Sept. 20) to secure their first conference win of the season.

After going scoreless in the first half, the Falcons were able to net two goals in the second half. The Coyotes responded back with a goal of their own, but the Falcons defense were able to hold off the Coyotes to secure the 2-1 win.

Anahi Ibarra-Arevalo scored one goal out of two shots for the Falcons. Samantha Jones also found the back of the net, scoring the second goal for the Falcons off the assist from Trinity Granger to help secure the win.
