Wichita, Kan. - Friends delivered a commanding performance in the opening game of the doubleheader, shutting out Kansas Wesleyan 8-0 in just five innings.

Elena Montoya led the offensive charge with two hits and two RBIs, while Tamara Lozoya and Becca Dunn each contributed multiple RBIs to power the Falcons. Dunn also ripped a double, and Priscilla Mora added a triple to keep the pressure on Kansas Wesleyan's defense.

Riley Wertz was again nearly unhittable in the circle, allowing just one hit over five dominant innings while striking out 10. Her performance kept the Coyotes from generating any momentum as Friends took the victory.

The Falcons' bats stayed hot in the second game, erupting for 15 runs in a statement win over Kansas Wesleyan. A steady offensive attack saw Friends score in every inning except the fourth, with a five-run sixth sealing the deal.

Cadence Magana, Teagan Moreno, Becca Dunn, and Tamara Lozoya each collected extra-base hits, with Priscilla Mora launching a home run to lead the offensive onslaught. Magana, Dunn, and Mora combined for 10 RBIs, showcasing the depth of the Falcons' lineup.

On the mound, Kierstan Weitze and Jenna Ormiston combined to limit Kansas Wesleyan, with Ormiston securing the win in relief. Friends' defense also held strong, turning key outs to prevent any major rallies from the Coyotes.
