No. 18 Falcons Power Past York in 77-55 Road Victory

YORK, Neb. — The No. 18 Friends University Falcons dominated on the road Saturday (Nov. 22), rolling past the York University Panthers 77-55 in a decisive road victory.

Strong defensive execution in the first half allowed the Falcons to pull ahead early and carry a 14-point lead into halftime. Friends held York to just 40.6 percent shooting from the field and 20 percent from beyond the arc while forcing seven first-half turnovers.

Friends carried that momentum into the second half shooting 48.5% from the floor. Despite a cold night from three-point range (22.2 percent), the Falcons continued to control the game, extending their advantage to 22 points to secure the road win.

Cahlese Lee led the Falcons with a near double-double, finishing with 20 points, nine rebounds, one block, and one steal. Collin Maclin added 14 points and five rebounds, while Ringo Deng also flirted with a double-double, recording nine points, nine rebounds, two assists, and a steal. Randy Woolf, Jr. contributed nine points, five rebounds, four assists, and three steals in a well-rounded effort.

With the win, the Falcons improve to 5-2 overall and 2-1 in KCAC play. Friends now turns its attention to an exhibition matchup on Tuesday (Nov. 25), traveling to Topeka, Kan., to face NCAA Division II No. 2 Washburn University at Lee Arena. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
