WICHITA, Kan. – Friends University Vice President of Athletics & Strategic Expansion Dr. Rob Ramseyer has announced that Martin Ayin has concluded his tenure as head volleyball coach, effective immediately.

"We appreciate Coach Ayin's long-standing commitment to Friends University and Friends Athletics," said Dr. Ramseyer. "We are thankful for the many years he invested in not only leading our volleyball program but also being a friend to everyone in our Athletic Department. We wish him success in his future endeavors."

Ayin just completed his 22nd season at the helm at Friends and won 378 career games while guiding the team to a KCAC regular season championship, two conference tournament titles and a pair of NAIA National Tournament berths during his tenure.

Last month, Ayin's 2010 squad was inducted into the Friends University Athletic Hall of Fame.  That team went 32-9 overall, a perfect 18-0 in the KCAC and won both the conference regular season and tournament championships.

A search for a new volleyball head coach will commence immediately.
