Falcons Hold York Scoreless in 3-0 Road Win

YORK, Neb.- The Friends University Falcons were dominant over the York University Panthers today (Oct. 4), earning a 3-0 road victory. The Falcons' defense controlled the match holding York scoreless, limiting the Panthers to just two shots on goal, goalkeeper Morgan Wilkinson making both saves. Meanwhile, the Falcons' offense applied constant pressure on the Panthers, putting 12 of their 17 shots on target.  

Friends struck first in the opening half with an early goal and then extended their lead with two more goals in the second half to secure the 3-0 win. Kieley Aranda opened the scoring with an early goal, while also contributing with an assist. Anahi Ibarra-Arevalo led the team with six shots, scoring twice on four shots on target. Samantha Jones recorded an assist while also adding a shot on goal.  

The Falcons will be back home Wednesday (Oct. 8), for their match-up against the nationally ranked No. 8 Oklahoma Wesleyan Eagles. Kick-off is scheduled for 5:00 PM at Adair-Austin Stadium.
