Falcons Keep Rolling, Defeat Ottawa 4–1 for Sixth Consecutive Win

OTTAWA, Kan. - The Friends University Falcons secured a convincing 4–1 victory over the Ottawa University Braves Wednesday (Oct. 29) to extend their win streak to six. 

The Falcons jumped ahead early when Kieley Aranda scored the opening goal in the 25th minute, giving Friends a 1–0 lead going into halftime.
In the second half, Paige Putter extended the Falcons lead with a penalty kick goal in the 58th minute, putting Friends up 2-0. The Braves were apple to cut into the deficit in the 69th minute, but the Falcons remained unfazed, regaining momentum. Elisa Murrietta scored in the 80th minute off an assist from Putter to make it 3–1, with Solenn Levesque capped off the night with a goal in the 89th minute assisted by Alexa Fonseca, sealing the 4–1 win.

Friends dominated offensively, out-shooting Ottawa 18-6, with 10 shots on goal compared to the Braves' five. Levesque led the Falcons with five shots , two on goal, followed by Murrietta and Putter, who recorded 4 shots each. In goal, Morgan Wilkinson recorded four saves in the victory.

With the win, Friends improves to 11–3–3 overall and 9–1–2 in KCAC play, as they prepare for Saturday's regular-season finale against the McPherson College Bulldogs. The game is set for a 1:00 PM kickoff in McPherson, Kan.
