Falcons Hold Off Bluejays for 1–0 Victory

WICHITA, Kan. — In their final regular-season home game, the Friends University Falcons earned a hard-fought 1–0 victory over the Tabor College Bluejays on Saturday (Oct. 25). This extends their streak to five wins in a row. The Falcons struck early in the first half and held strong defensively to secure the shutout win.

The Falcons and Bluejays each tallied 11 shots in the match, with Tabor holding a slight advantage in shots on goal, 5–3.

Anahi Ibarra-Arevalo delivered the game's only goal, capitalizing on an assist from Elisa Murrietta to give Friend lead in the 21st minute. Ibarra-Arevalo tallied two shots, matching teammate Paige Putter, who also recorded two shots for the game.

Goalkeeper Morgan Wilkinson anchored the defense with an outstanding performance, recording five saves to preserve the clean sheet and clinch the Falcons' home finale victory.

The Falcons will be on the road on Wednesday (Oct. 29), to face the Ottawa University Braves (Kan.), as they  look to wrap up regular-season play and extend their win streak next week with two games remaining. Kickoff is set for 5:00 p.m.
