Ft. Worth, Texas – Keily Larosee put in her modern-era record breaking 44th career goal to push the Friends University Falcons to a 1-0 victory at the Texas Wesleyan University Rams today (Sept. 6) in Ft. Worth, Texas.
A clutch player throughout her career, Larosee's goal today was the 19th game-winning score of her star-studded career.
Today's latest game-winning tally came at the 25:43 mark of the match to push the Falcons to 2-1 on the season.
"It's a huge achievement, this program has been around a long time," said Friends women's soccer head coach Brent Hobson. "I know she was eager to break it and I'm happy to see her do it early in the season. I'm sure she's determined to add to her tally though. All of us are happy and proud for what she has accomplished."
The Falcons were out-shot 10-4 overall and 4-3 on-goal, but Morgan Wilkinson made four saves to keep the Rams off the board.
Maggie Campbell made two stops in the net for Texas Wesleyan (1-4).
Next up for the Falcons is a matchup at Baker University Wednesday evening (Sept. 11) at 6 pm in Baldwin City, Kan.
