Baldwin City, Kan. – Senior forward Keily Larosee's second career hat trick was more than enough to secure a 4-0 victory for the Friends University Falcons over the Baker University Wildcats tonight (Sept. 11) in Baldwin City, Kan.
Larosee, having set the Falcons' modern-era goals record in the previous win at Texas Wesleyan, pounded in her 45th, 46th and 47th scores to continue her torrid start to the season.
A native of Las Vegas, Nev., Larosee scored two of her goals in the first half. Her first score came in the ninth minute off an assist from Kylie Lewis and her second goal came at the 20:40 mark from Pilar Flores.
Larosee then teamed up with Liset Vallejo to assist on Lina Willemsen's first career goal before putting the finishing touches on her big night with another score at the 58:54 mark.
The Falcons held a 12-10 advantage in shot attempts, with an 8-4 edge on-goal.
Nia Baker started at goalkeeper for the Falcons and played the first half with three saves, while Morgan Wilkinson played the second half and made one stop.
Avery Young recorded four saves with four goals allowed for the Wildcats (2-4).
The Falcons, now 3-1 on the season, will next have a big matchup at the University of Kansas Sunday afternoon (Sept. 15) starting at 1 pm in Lawrence, Kan. The Jayhawks are 2-1-3 on the season heading into tomorrow night's home Big 12 matchup vs. Iowa State University.
