Lawrence, Kan. – Senior forward Keily Larosee put in her team-leading sixth goal of the season in the Friends University Falcons' 5-1 setback at the NCAA D-I University of Kansas Jayhawks today (Sept. 15) in Lawrence, Kan.
Larosee, the Falcons' modern-era career goals leader, scored on a penalty kick at the 23:40 mark that cut the Jayhawk lead to 3-1.
Jillian Gregorski lifted the Jayhawks to the win, recording a hat trick that included two scores in the first 14 minutes of the match.
Lexi Watts also found the net twice for Kansas, starting with a goal at the 2:44 mark that made it 2-0 and then finishing out the scoring in the 53rd minute.
Morgan Wilkinson got the start at goalkeeper and made six saves with five goals allowed, with Nia Baker playing the final 28:16 and stopping four shots.
The Falcons, now 3-2 on the season, will now prepare to open KCAC action next Saturday (Sept. 21) at Tabor College. Kickoff is set for 5 pm in Hillsboro, Kan.
