The Braves opened the scoring in the 35th minute with Alonso Basauri finding the back of the net, assisted by Cale Scott. Friends responded quickly, leveling the score at 1-1 in the 39th minute with an unassisted goal.
However, Ottawa regained control in the second half, with Jevan Purcell-Jackson scoring in the 55th minute and assisting on Basauri's second goal in the 58th minute. Bence Molnar added a final goal in the 80th minute to secure Ottawa's victory.
Despite a strong offensive effort from Friends, with 16 total shots and 10 on goal, Ottawa's goalkeeper Marko de Sa Faria made six crucial saves, while Friends' Stryker Kelly recorded seven saves.
