WICHITA, Kan. -- The Friends University Falcons took down the York University Panthers with a decisive 103-67 victory tonight (Nov. 23) inside the Garvey Center to improve to 5-2 on the year and 2-1 in the KCAC.
The Falcons showcased impressive individual performances in the victory, with
KJ Spiller leading the way offensively with 22 points on 8-of-11 shooting and connecting on 4 of 5 three-point attempts. Spiller also contributed defensively with two steals.
Cahlese Lee added 13 points, highlighted by three successful 3-pointers along with a pair of blocks.
Randy Woolf, Jr. was a key playmaker and defender, scoring 12 points while adding four assists, three steals, and two blocks.
In the first half, Friends dominated scoring from the paint, contributing significantly to a 43-27 lead at the break.

Kee'on Hutton had the Falcons out in front 14-6 by the 15:15 mark.
In the second half, the Falcons extended their lead with strong shooting, tallying 19 baskets on 34 attempts and sinking 11 of 19 from beyond the arc.
Spiller played a pivotal role with a series of key plays, contributing a block, a steal, and multiple successful free throws. Meanwhile, York struggled to keep up, shooting 14 of 35 from the field and committing five turnovers, which hindered their ability to close the gap. The Falcons continued to pull away, with the 36-point margin of victory representing the largest lead of the night.
Chris Dixon led York with 17 points, while Carl Thorpe Jr. added 10 points. Ikechukwu Nwaobi recorded four assists for the Panthers, who are now 2-5 overall and 0-3 in the KCAC.
Friends outrebounded York 46-38 overall and limited the Panthers to just 39.1 percent (25-of-64) for the game and 28 percent (7-of-25) from three-point distance.
The Falcons will next play an exhibition at NCAA D-II Northwestern Oklahoma State University next Tuesday night (Nov. 26) at 7 pm in Alva, Okla. Friends will then resume KCAC action following the Thanksgiving Break and play at Bethel College on Dec. 4 in North Newton, Kan.
