WICHITA, Kan. – Friends University junior MH/RS Sydney Lentz has been selected as a first-team All-KCAC selection, the conference office announced today (Nov. 13).
In her first season on campus, Lentz made quite the impact for head coach Martin Ayin's Falcons, ranking third in the conference in kills per set (3.51) while hitting a team-leading .383.
Lentz also made an impact defensively on the front row, averaging a team-high 0.84 blocks per set, including finishing second in the league with 28 solo blocks.
A Maize, Kan. product and a transfer from Butler CC, Lentz smashed a career-high 25 kills in the Falcons' thrilling 3-2 come-from-behind victory over Baker University (Aug. 30).
Lentz helped the Falcons finish the season with a 15-15 overall record, an improvement of seven wins from last year.
