WICHITA, Kan. – The official 2023-24 men's basketball schedule has yet to be released, but there is already one game on the docket that is sure to pique the interest of basketball fans throughout Wichita, as the Falcons are set to play an exhibition game on Nov. 12 at Wichita State University inside Charles Koch Arena. While it is an exhibition game for the Falcons, it will count as a regular season tilt for the Shockers.
It will be a matchup pitting first-year head coaches, with Phil McClintock now roaming the sidelines for the Falcons and Paul Mills heading into his first season at the helm for WSU.
"I'm excited to play such a high level basketball game next season and being able to do that in Wichita makes it even better," said McClintock. "I've heard great things about Coach Mills and look forward to competing against his team!"
The Falcons are set to welcome back a trio of All-KCAC performers from last season in Tim Barbieri, Al Emerllahu and Christian Williams for the upcoming 2023-24 campaign.
WSU posted a record 17-15 last year and were 9-9 in the American Athletic Conference.
Ticket information for the exhibition at WSU will be announced at a later date, while the full 2023-24 schedule for the Falcons will be released soon.
